Description:

Simple mod that increases GT race distances to be more like that seen in endurance racing. Tyre life, ERS systems, critical part deltas, performance deltas have been adjusted to create a closer field.

Endurance replaces Medium preferences, with medium race length rules being 265 miles, and short/long removing and adding 135 miles respectively.

Endurance+ replaces Long preferences, with medium race length rules being 400 miles, and short/long removing and adding 200 miles respectively.

Will work seamlessly with TheFlamingRed’s Balance mod once he updates for the current version of the game.

This time, the figures I have put in are speculative figures as 1.5 totally changed everything and made all my spreadsheets meaningless. I have used what I learned for the Single Seater Rebalance here, so the figures should be roughly correct. However it takes hours and hours to fully test everything, and I don’t have hours and hours.

Summary of changes:

– Reduced the maximum top speeds of cars to more realistic levels (280mph down to 230mph)
– GTC is now 7s slower than IGTC
– Vastly increased the time cost per single point of performance, then rebalanced using the scalars to make suspension and rear wings important
– Increased the size of the crossover points for dry to inter and inter to wet
– All but removed the wear penalty if an incorrect tyre is fitted to the car
– Increased time cost for losing a wheel
– Increased the maximum time for a wheel to come loose
– Increased amount of wet weather compounds available
– Reduced tyre cliff time penalty across all compounds
– Reduced the wrong weather penalty on all dry weather tyres ((mainly to assist the AI) from 20s to 15s)
– Slightly increased the wrong weather penalty on inters
– Increased the amount of weather bars
– Hugely increased the charge time of ERS
– Decreased discharge rate of Push 2 Pass
– Reduced power of Push 2 Pass
– Decreased hybrid mode’s fuel saving
– Decreased hybrid mode’s discharge rate
– Increased part failure time costs
– Increased critical part time cost per part – maximum of 2.69s penalty if you have the 24th best part
– Reduced the time cost related to driver form (0.0 form was a 1s penalty, now 0.5s)
– Reduced volatility of form changes during the race
– Driver time costs slightly increased, both with or without driver aids
– Reduced time cost between running on Attack and Back Up tyre modes
– Reduced Attack and Push tyre wear rates
– Increased Conserve and Back Up wear rates
– Reduced time cost between running on Super Overtake and Low engine modes
– Increased time cost for running out of fuel
– Reduced time cost per lap of fuel
– Reduced Overtake fuel burn rate
– Increased Medium and Low fuel burn rates
– Reduced the car setup time cost
– Rebalanced the pit time cost saving for balanced and safe stops
– Slightly increased time cost per lap of fuel put into the car at pit stops
– Increased tyre change times
– Increased setup adjustments time costs
– Reduced trim change time costs
– Increased time cost of a track with no rubber put down
– Increased life of all tyre compounds
– Adjusted tyre band time costs
– Increased pit crew minimum and maximum time to peak age
– Increased stamina loss per race for pit crew
– Reduced new pit crew cost (from £200,000 down to £35,000)

NOTE: Do not use Short preferences with this mod, you’ll see no difference from vanilla as it is currently the vanilla values.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Sometimes other series will show the increased laps, this is an unavoidable issue where the race distance is picked up when a race occurs in the calendar, even when you aren’t in it.

I have had to use a dummy Media.txt to upload this because PlaySport goofed, so if you have a mod that uses this txt, you may have conflicts. It’ll be this way until the error is fixed.

The AI go a little crazy with their pit strategies on the Phoenix Oval with Endurance+

I also have a SingleSeater Rebalance mod!

This should also work with FIRE by Chris & Falko as I also tested this – however if you do use the two together and you have issues, then you cannot file bug reports to myself, or to Chris. I don’t play FIRE, so beyond checking basic compatibility, I will be doing no further work on this.

NOTE: If you wish to use this and my SingleSeater Rebalance mod together, then you will need the MERGED VERSION.
