Goal of this mod is to make playing Byzantium both fun and challenging while adding a lot more depth and flavor. I am in no way attempting to make this mod historical in any form or shape it’s just for fun.
New for 1.2 Cicero
Slowed base governor assimilation from 15% to 7.5% added a 2.5% assimilation bonus to roman and byzantine heritages for 10% total.
Added a great deal more barbarians so watch your borders.
I enlarged Rome, Carthage, Epirus and Pontus to make them more challenging rivals.
Changed various pops.
Main Features:
– Adds a new cultures to the Hellenic Culture group: Greaco-Roman, Greaco-Egyptian, Greaco-Persian and Greaco-Anatolian.
– Unique name-list different from other Hellenic cultures.
– New starting families Komnenos, Doukas, Palaiologos, Kantakuzenos, Angelos and more.
– Changes the unit graphic models to Roman.
– Changes military traditions to Roman.
– Changes the country color to purple
– Changes the Flag to a Roman purple flag.
– Changes to Roman Heritages
– Changes the terrain around Byzantium from forest to farmland.
– Adds Nova Roma modifier to Byzantium similar to the modifier Alexandria gets in power.
– Separated Europa from Thrace Region into new Byzantium Region.
– Adds more roads though-out Europe and Asia.
– Various changes to the Diadochi countries, cultures, balance and characters.
