Description:

This mod adds two new Advent enemies, the Advent Custodian and the Advent Custodian Master. These Advent use Shotguns, Pistols, Rifles, an extremely powerful melee Gauntlet Weapon and a long range Cluster Rocket.

WHAT IS IN THIS MOD:

  • 2 New Advent Enemies.

INFO:

Advent Custodian

Advent Custodians are slow, with very high HP and armor values, they cannot utilize cover. Custodians will attempt to get within melee range of your soldiers, firing their pistol and Shotgun as they approach, if they get within melee range they will try and utilize their gauntlet weapon, the gauntlet has very high aim and very high damage(20 damage) so it is in your best interest to stay far away from them.
They will show up at "Tier 3" starting at Force Level 16(that is after Andromedons).

Advent Custodian Master

Similar to the normal Advent Custodian, Masters utilize an Assault Rifle instead of a Shotgun and Pistol combo. Like the normal Custodians they too utilize the same Destroyer Gauntlet, however they also utilize a long range artillery back-mounted Rocket Launcher, this Rocket launcher has 2 charges and a cooldown of 2 turns, it doesn’t deal much damage(4 damage), but it bypasses all armor(doesn’t shred it however).
Custodian Masters have Blast Padding, because really, if you have 4 giant rocket launchers strapped to your back you probably should have Blast Padding.
They also show up at Force Level 16 just like the normal Custodians.

KNOWN ISSUES:

None at the moment.

COMPATIBILITY:

Usually i say "it should be compatible with everything", but then it turns out it isn’t, so if you find any compatibility issues let me know.

TO DO LIST:

Like with my Pathfinder mod, this is part 1 of several, this time instead of making a big mod that i just split into pieces, i figured it was better to make individual mods that i merge into a "pack" at the end. So this is part 1. The to-do list is thus:

Exalted Custodians, i plan to make them more distinct than the Exalted Pathfinders were, so they will come separately, depending on the feedback i get from them they may or may not be implemented in the final pack.
Cosmetics, frankly i think this armor would look pretty stupid on Xcom soldiers, i’ve also been told it looks stupid on Advent but that’s fine. So Cosmetics will be coming at a later date, could be next week, could be who knows when? But they will come.
"Xcom Items", like with the Pathfinder mod i want you to get something out of killing these dudes, right now nothing is set in stone but i’m leaning towards a "Tier 3.5 Heavy Armor" that comes with Shield, Gauntlet and Rockets.
Random Extra stuff, i didn’t bother to make a Sit-rep or Chosen Summon ability or any of that fancy stuff for this mod, but i’ll probably throw that in at the end when all the parts are finished.

Never.

Do i need to start a new campaign for these dudes?

Probably not, but truth be told i’m not sure. Sorry!
