Description:

Forts and other Military Improvements provide yields to their tiles (mostly production) as well as Housing. This makes them a more viable alternative especially on hills.

Does not require Gathering Storm, but if you have it, the changes extend to the Pā.

Full Feature list:

  • Forts unlock at Castles instead of Siege Tactics.
  • Great Wall can be placed on Forest, Jungle, and Floodplains.
  • +1 Production to Fort and Roman Fort.
  • +1 Food to Pā.
  • +2 Production to Airstrip.
  • +1 Production to Missile Silo.
  • +1 Culture to Fort, Roman Fort, Alcazar, and Pā if you have a military land unit stationed on the tile.
  • +1 Production to Fort, Roman Fort, Alcazar, and Pā if you have a support unit stationed on the tile.
  • +0.5 Housing to Fort, +1 Housing to Roman Fort, Chateau, Alcazar, and Pā.
  • Chateaus provide defensive bonuses equal to half the bonuses of a Fort: +2 Combat Strength and automatic 1 turn of fortification.
  • Alcazar reworked: Base yield changed to +1 Culture, +1 Science, and +1 Food. Provides +1 Amenity if a Governor is in the city. Instead of Science the Alcazar now provides 25% of the tile’s Appeal as Culture and +1 Appeal to adjacent tiles. Only one Alcazar per city.

The mod does not add culture bombs or anything similar to Forts and neither does it change the combat bonus. There are already several good mods doing this and they are compatible with this mod, so use them together if you’d like to have those features.
