Description:

A ‘generic soldier’ class for XCOM 2 WotC that can make use of assault rifles, bullpups, vektor rifles in the main hand, and pistols or shields as secondary, as well as additional underbarrel grenades if you also subscribe to Iridar’s underebarrel weapons mod.

The class is flexible, able to be equipped for the mission at hand – the durability of the shield or the Lost busting capability of the pistol. The accuracy at range of the Vektor or the close assault firepower of the bullpup. The choice is yours, Commander.

There have been many ‘basic soldier’ offerings on the mod workshop, but I have never really liked any of them, they usually had too much health, or too many attacks, or just something that I didint like. So I thought it was high time I created my own generic soldier mod that I wouldnt like. I hope you enjoy it.

As far as I know, the class works fine if you have not installed Iridar’s mod for the underbarrel grenade launcher. You do require the balistics shield mod however, and be aware that the vektor rifle can not be equipped with the shield.

This class has no GTS perk, as I dont know how to get that to work. I make no warranty abut the bugginess or otherwise of this class. I am not a good enough modder for such things.

Trooper Ability List

Squaddie:
Impulse – bonus to aim and crit after moving on this turn
Quick Patch – Using a medkit does not cost an action
Corpseman – Gain a free medkit for the mission
Fire Pistol – You can fire a pistol

Battle Focus Tree:
Quick Draw – firing a pistol does not end your turn
Blinding Fire – fire a low accuracy attack at enemies in a cone, and reduce their aim
Lightning Hands – fire a free action shot with a pistol
Fire First – pre-emptively return fire when fired on
Face Off – fire a pistol shot at every visible enemy
Kill em All – Fire once at every target in a cone

Support Tree:
Faultless Defence – When using a shields Shield Wall ability, become immmune to critical hits
Field Medic – Gain two extra charges for your medical kit
Shield Trauma – Shield bash an enemy to disorientate and/or stun them
Disabling Shot – A weapomn shot that can stun a target for 2 actions
Protect and Serve – when using a shields Shield Wall ability, gain an extra non-move action
Avenger – when a close by ally is fired on, fire back at the attacker
