Description:

Super Meat Boy’s "8th Anniversary" update, back on October 28th, included the entire 2015 soundtrack with it (minus bonus songs) and allowed players to freely switch between it and the original music. This is a late celebration of that anniversary!

This mod introduces music from both of Super Meat Boy’s soundtracks as well as two remixes that appeared on the Digital Special Edition Soundtrack – all together forming a blend of chiptune, rock, techno, and orchestra – into the equally vivid mind♥♥♥♥ that is The Binding of Isaac. Most of the music here is ripped directly from SMB’s gameaudio.dat, so none of Danny Baranowsky or Ridiculon’s album version modifications apply. Also, I intentionally did not use anything from Ridiculon’s take on Forest, since those tracks received bad reception and I didn’t know where I would use them.

For information on exactly what tracks are included, click here.[txti.es] I couldn’t include it all in the Steam description because it hit the character limit.

This mod is also available on The Modding of Isaac[moddingofisaac.com]. Check out some other mods on there if you have the time!

Though most of the code in this mod was hand-written, I’d like to thank Marty FlyMac and AndBoy for their well-made mods. Analyzing the Lua scripting in them served as a great learning experience for me, without which I would not be able to publish this as much more than a cheap music and music.xml tweak. Marty was also the one who inspired the creation of this whole mod and got me into the 2015 soundtrack in general with his There’s Hell Toupé in Boss Rush mod.
I’d also like to thank those who maintain The Modding of Isaac’s website for rehosting Afterbirth+’s Lua documentation as an easily accessible webpage.[moddingofisaac.com]

Feel free to rip this mod apart to use as a learning resource!
