Description:

Content: Right now it is anything but impossible to assault forts even at level 1 without utterly destroying the assaulting army, no matter its size. There are some things working in the background that I can’t change (defending armies dealing damage to *all* attackers, for example), but I’ve made a few changes that should produce some more sane results:
– Casualties for defenders has been changed from 10% base to 20% base.
– Combat width for the attacker has been increased from 3 to 4.
– The maximum number of breaches has been increased from 1 to 3.
– The maximum percentage of siege progress has been increased to 72% (I think). A further increase might break the system, which is a little bit opaque, so I don’t feel confident in making any more changes.

Compatibility: This mod only changes the 00_defines file.

Assaulting without a breach will still result in massive casualties, though no longer stackwipe the attacking army. As a rule of thumb, you want to make the assault with the least viable number of troops, because the defenders will still do damage to all assaulting units and I’m afraid that’s hardcoded. Feel free to comment on the changes and please let me know if you encounter any problems!
