The Golgafrinchan way of life
The Golgafrinchan did what every civilized society dreams off:
They put all telephone sanitizers, account executives, marketing analysts and other people of this useless middle management caste onto one big Ark ship and sent them off to a planet far far away telling them they’d need their service when they arrive with the other ship.
The landing computer broke down during the landing which caused the ship to land in a swamp, not many Golgafrinchans survived it but the few who did, are already organizing their new society in anticipation of the coming workers who will execute their great plans!
Of course they didn’t land unprepared, they couldn’t save much from the sinking wreck that was their Ark Ship but they could at least save the most important items like the expensive Alpaca Armchairs and even a giant TV that only took two marketing analysts and a telephone sanitizer lives to be rescued.
