Hello everyone! This is my first attempt at modding, so it’s been a fun experience learning Larian’s DOS II engine. I thought it would be interesting to have an Arcane based mage class with influences from D&D and various other CRPG’s of the past.

The class is currently in BETA with 27 new skills in game. The skills can be found as you progress through the game at vendors for Aerotheurge, Necromancy, and Hydrosophist books. It took a fair amount of time to create all of the skills, so I am looking for feedback in order to tweak and balance as needed!

Skill requirements: You’ll notice that the Arcanist skills are divided up between three schools Aero, Hydro, and Necro. Each skill requires at least two of the three schools. My thought process is that because I couldn’t create a new school I wanted a way to require a larger investment to acquire them.

– Added Tier 3 Spell Infuse Sorcery – Create a Source infused 2m surface at target area.
– Added Tier 1 Spell Blur – Your body becomes blurred, shifting and wavering to all who can see you within 2m.
– Power Word Banish can now only target non-friendly characters.

– Increased the Missile Acceleration of Magic Missile from 2 to 4.
– Added Tier 1 Spell Eldritch Hex – Single target Hex Blast that has 5 levels of stacking abilities.
* 1st Cast – Base Damage Attack
* 2nd Cast – Damage Over Time for 3 turns
* 3rd Cast – Target is Suffocating for 3 turns
* 4th Cast – High Damage Attack
* 5th Cast – Target is Crippled for 2 turns

Skills:

Tier 1
Arcane Insight – Set Arcane Insight on target character that increases AP regen by 2 for 2 turns.
Cascade of Dispel Magic – In Development
Iridescent Burst – Hurl an Iridescent Orb that applies blind and daze in a small AOE.
Blur – Your body becomes blurred, shifting and wavering to all who can see you within 2m.
Manipulate Gravity – In Development
Mage Hand – A spectral fist appears travels towards your target applying knockdown for 2 rounds.
Magic Missile – You conjure five darts of arcane magic that hit targets within range dealing damage.
Malevolent Inspiration – A shout that imbues allies with a random damage type and a bonus 10 percent critical chance.
Eldritch Hex – Single target Hex Blast that has 5 levels of stacking abilities.

Tier 2
Arcane Orb – Orb of Arcane Energy that does damage along a path leaving a cloud of smoke behind.
Cone of Force – Push back all characters within target area.
Counterspell – Counterspell reflects 100 percent of damage for 2 turns. Does not mitigate damage.
Hypnotic Aura – Hypnotic barrage of projectiles inducing sleep for 2 turns in a small AOE.
Malicious Blink – Blink between 3 targets dealing low air damage and applying a slow for 2 turns.
Power Word Shatter – Target below 40 percent health and frozen or petrified will shatter.
Spirit Mend – Heals target and provides Arcane Insight for 1 turn.
Enslave the Void (Gift of the Void) – Summons a void manifestation, grants gift of the void buff, +Int, +Wit, and +Con.
Enervating Trap – Throw a pair of traps. Arcane damage and -20% magic resists.

Tier 3
Amplify Magic – Magic damage amplified for 2 turns
Black Hole – Black Hole pulls in target characters and damages them for 2 turns
Infuse Sorcery – Create a Source infused 2m surface at target area.
Major Globe of Invulnerability – Boosts all magic resists by 35 percent and grants the caster additional magic armor.
Prismatic Spray – Blast of color in a cone hits all targets with 5 different types of magical damage.
Solar Flare – In Development
Stoneskin – Turns your skin to stone. Provides 1 turn of physical immunity and 3 turns of fortified.
Arcane Disturbance – PBAOE Arcane Damage spell up to 4m.
Augment Arcane Disturbance – Boosts the damage of Arcane Disturbance
Power Word Banish – Banishes target character to another realm for 2 turns.

Tier 4
Disrupt Time – Halts time around the caster for 2 turns. Allies can move freely while enemies are immobile.
Immutable Sentinel – Untargetable guardian appears at target. 3m radius of damage for 3 turns.
