Description:

This mod changes the ranged weapons and make them useful and realistic, this weapons change battles in real life.

Bows and slingers have more range and better damage.

Heavy Shot means to shoot thin-headed arrows to penetrate armor, cause low damage and great armour piercing.

Javelins have minor range and great damage.

Increase siege weapons range.

City Tower and Ship Tower change.

Hit and run tatics are useful like in Battle of Carrhae.

For example, a stone inscription from Nerchinsk (Southern Siberia) made in 1226 commemorates that a nephew of Genghis Khan won an archery competition by hitting a target at a distance of 335 spans (a span being the arm span of a warrior). Assuming a modest conversion of 1.6m that would be a flight of 536 metres. Even back then that was regarded as a prodigious feat, sufficient not just to win the competition, but to give the archer thereafter the epithet “The Marksman”.

"Pila were divided into two models: heavy and light. Pictorial evidence suggests that some versions of the weapon were weighted by a lead ball to increase penetrative power but archeological specimens of this design variant are not so far known.[3] Recent experiments have shown pila to have a range of approximately 33 metres (100 ft), although the effective range is up to 15–20 m (50–70 ft)". For this the javelins range are reduced.
