Dogs of War: Cross-Faction Unit Recruitment + Mercenary Camps
Adds a way to recruit units from other races, as well as a way to recruit Lords. Heroes are not in the mod currently, except the few unique heroes like Lord Kroak. Also features mercenary camps that spawn around the map (disabled by default, enable using the Mod Configuration Tool).
When you open the recruitment panel you’ll see a button at the top left which opens the Dogs of War panel. Clicking a unit there will add the unit to your army.
Legendary Lords that fully function on the campaign map are prefixed with LL in the mod. Fully working generic Lords are in their own tab. Otherwise, some heroes and lords can be recruited as combat units, but don’t function normally on the campaign map.
If you have the Mod Configuration Tool you can enable the Regional Mercenaries feature in which you have to walk into provinces and can only recruit units that those provinces can support with their buildings. Currently doesn’t support mod units since I have to provide the building requirements myself in the script. See the screenshot.
Also options to:
Only allow units that can be locally recruited in any of the provinces on the map.
Only allow units that your military allies can locally recruit in any of their provinces.
Change starting HP of hired units (Lords excluded). This is for balance, since recruitment is instant in this mod. Default is 33%.
Hide the Mortal Prowess UI in battles if you’re not playing as a Dark Elf but have Dark Elf units in your army.
Enable spawning of mercenary camps around the map (like Gotrek&Felix spawn in a camp).
The main panel works in multiplayer, but avoid enabling more advanced options in MCT like Mercenary Camps, they won’t work.
Since everything is achieved through scripting, it should be compatible with all other mods, and can be added or removed mid-campaign. But any units the other mods add to the game won’t be selectable through this mod, unless someone makes a submod.
Being a pure script mod also means it can’t break or conflict with any other mod.
The mod can’t check for unit caps, so those have no effect on units recruited through this mod.
Wood Elves cannot recruit non-Wood Elf Legenary Heroes.

I suggest you use Kaedrin’s Mod Manager.
If the mod doesn’t work for you the most likely cause is your ingame scripts are broken because some other mod you have has a script error and that makes other script mods stop working as well. Try this mod by itself to make sure.
