Description:

v1.22 Update – Updated to fix pistol slot bug and make slight change to Support Class (see known issues).

This is my 2nd published mod, and is significantly bigger and more complicated than my previous one. Constructive criticism is most definitely welcomed.

This is my class collection, designed to be somewhere between Vanilla and LW2 classes in power. All classes will have 3 perk rows, and perks up to Colonel rank (rank 7). This mod is currently in a BETA state, with a view to tightening up it’s balancing. Expect semi-frequent changes as I receive feedback. I will do my best to notify everyone ahead of time when a major update is being pushed.

-The 4 base classes have been expanded to 5, with Supports being added to the roster. All base classes have access to the Assault Rifle as one of their primary weapon options, and 2 secondaries (set as secondary/tertiary, using Pistol Slot Mod for Tertiary).
:Sharpshooters gain the Sawed-off Shotgun as their Tertiary. Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle Primary. Sniper Rifle grants Squadsight.
:Grenadiers gain the Autopistol as their Tertiary. Assault Rifle/Cannon Primary. Cannon now takes 2 AP to fire ‘offensive’ skills, 1 AP for ‘support/defensive’ skills, and grants Suppression.
:Rangers gain the Holotargeter as their Tertiary, doubling down on their role as Scouts. Assault Rifle/Shotgun Primary.
:Specialists gain the Combat Knife as their Tertiary. Assault Rifle/Shotgun Primary.
:Supports specialise in supportive skills and have the Ballistic Shields as their secondary, with Arcthrower as their Tertiary. Assault Rifle/Shotgun Primary.

I have added a ‘Travel Light’ secondary, selectable in both secondary and tertiary slots, which adds +2 mobility.

Faction Heroes get their perk trees filled out to 3 full lines. Templar lose Autopistol but gain an altered LW2 Gauntlet Flamethrower as a secondary (with an invisible mesh so that it looks like the fire is being expelled from the Shard Gauntlets for tighter aesthetics).

Sparks are untouched as I personally use Mechatronic Warfare by NotSoLoneWolf (GTS excepted as detailed below). However Spark Rifles have their Clip Size increased to 6.

Psi-Ops (including Psionic class WOTC) can now use Shotguns.

Support and SPARKS have their own GTS perks.

Combat Intelligence has been nerfed slightly at the top end to prevent the usual Colonel snowball effect. Savants & Geniuses will still gain enough AP to be able to afford a couple of extra top end perks, or more from lower tier. There will also be a slightly increased chance of getting naturally higher intelligence troops.

WotC Highlander (BETA or Covert Infiltration specific versions both work, not sure on other versions)
New Promotion Screen By Default
Dedicated Pistol Slot (relocalised as Tertiary Slot for this mod).
Autopistol Overhaul (reqd currently for animations, working on including them in base mod)
Extended Perk Pack
Ballistic Shields
Weapon Skin Replacer (mod has it’s own wsr config so config mod not required)
LW2 Secondaries

Known Issues:
NEW:Tertiary (pistol) Slot appears for the Faction classes but nothing can be equipped – this is because I disabled the Faction soldier’s default configs from the DPSlot mod but htat doesn’t delete the slot itself – They are not intended to have anything in this slot, so it’s a UI issue only.
NEW:Support Class doesn’t show Shield Bash/Shield Wall in promotion screen as I moved these abilities back to the Shields themselves to resolve the reported bug – Support class has access to them as long as Shield is equipped – UI issue only.

Autopistol animations are a bit screwy when not subscribed to Autopistol Overhaul. Once this is fixed that will move from a required mod to recommended companion mod.
Localisation issues are likely, especially with the LW2 Gauntlet. Please report any you see.
Cannon says ‘Sniper Shot’ for it’s standard fire. This was the simplest way to implement the AP change for me as a learning modder, it is on the list of things I wish to improve.

Iridar’s UB Attachments and Bayonets (I’m all for adding as many options as possible to a loadout), More Psi Abilities, infact, pretty much EVERYTHING he does. I have built in optional support for UB attachment secondary slot ammo and also Disposable Rocket Launchers via the Tertiary/Pistol slot.
[WotC]Limited Reloads by looplick (limited ammo makes the sidearms even more useful).

Compatability Notes:

:Dedicated Pistol Slot – To enable CWCR classes to use a Pistol in their Tertiary slot, add WEAPON_CAT="pistol" to each of their config lines in XcomPistolSlot.ini

:Primary Secondaries and Dual Wield Pistols -Should be fine, though only Sharpshooter has access to SecondaryWeapon Pistols.

:Primary Secondaries and Dual Wield Melee – DWM does not work with the dedicated pistol slot, so specialists cannot dual wield sword and knife.

:Weapon mods – Some Cannon/SMG changes are made to their individual templates in the WSR config file I have included, for those changes to affect mod added cannons/smgs you will need to add their templates to that list.
