Description:

MISSION STATEMENT

This submod aims to add a further level of depth and immersion to the game’s user Interface, main menu backgrounds, campaign map, and a number of other graphical aspects. With 2,000 custom graphical assets and GUI components included, Immersive UI Overhaul almost completely revamps the pre-existing interface for Rome 2 to provide an improved experience and user-usability.

OVERVIEW

You might see a UI modification for a TW title every once in a while,but more often than not, they’re incredibly minor and specific changes, or just consist of color changes. This is due to the fact that TW UI creation and editing is time-consuming and complex, also further complicated by a typically new UI configuration and size of assets used between games. However, I took a multifaceted approach with Immersive UI overhaul involving slow but consistent work that uses a combination of different assets that are from other TW games, custom developed, or pre-existing R2 UI components that are edited. Immersive UI Overhaul touches has too many changes and improvements to list out in detail, with even more still to come. A brief summary of features included:

Custom UI for 13 different cultures

Optimized and improved assets for all resolutions

Enhanced battle components and some rendered graphics (Banners, Land and naval troop selection outlines, formation movement and action markers as an example}

Custom Campaign map and minimap

Completely new Character back drops for 3 culture types at the moment

Various Marker Graphic QOL changes, such as improved region borders and trade routes

CONCLUSION / FURTHER INFO

As a simple exclaimer, some areas of this mod will need further improvement and fixes, With already over a couple hundred hours spent working on this mod, a ton of work still needed to be done, and I ask only for patience. You may of this mod that will need further improvement and fixes, and just because there is a certain change or new addition, does not mean it is set in stone or a final version of any asset. Temporary placeholders and icons that may seem out of place or lower quality are sometimes used when changing a large part of the UI or upgrading a new area. This is done to allow for myself and users to test out a possible style/format change, while also ensuring they work properly for all users, factions, and mods. Please report any feedback or issues you may come across while using Realism: Immersive UI Overhaul in the discussion sections below or via the discord server.

Vanilla and Save-game compatible, should also work with a majority of mods and collections. HOWEVER, IMMERSIVE UI IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH STANDALONE DEI UNLESS YOU USE MY MAIN REALISM MOD AS WELL. So in other words, If you’re interested in having the features of this mod while playing with DeI, you must be subscribed to my DEI Sub-Overhaul and the Immersive UI Overhaul mod to allow for complete compatibility. You will encounter a number of broken UI components and bugs if you fail to do so.
