The Navigator
The Navigators were once a senior rank of artificially evolved humans within the Endless Universe. Mutated through the consumption of and exposure to massive amounts of Dust, the Navigators were able to use a mentally conditioned and trained form of prescience to safely navigate interstellar and galactic space in long range starships. But now its purpose, its existence is lost. It appears to be alone and it doesn’t understand why or remember how. In an instant or within millenia, everything known to the Navigator, was no more. Time seemed a constant and a chaos at the same time. And now time stood still. The Navigator had known this future line, but it never had followed this path. And with blank slates, comes the urge to discover. The Navigator made a decision, it will seek new grounds of life, new depths in the mystery of, well… mostly everything. It will find purpose amongst mortal lives. Somewhere, sometime, somehow, it had already seen this path…
