Description:

I made this mod to tailor the game to my specific likings and I thought I could release it for others to enjoy as well. In short, this mod re-skins a few units, adds some 45 new units for diversity purposes, standardizes mercenary/ auxillary/ regular unit stats, tries to give each playable faction a unique feel, and generally mixes up the meta a bit. I’d encourage you to try one campaign with this mod or at least a custom battle and give me some feedback.

Below are some changes in no specific order:

Changed all peltast units to have more mass, stats, and loose formation to switch from regular infantry formation. Generally, make the peltast units capable of being versatile.

Skirmisher-specific javelins now how a small knockback effect to stagger/disrupt any units hit (does not affect pre-cursor javelins).

All spear units now have expert charge defense (except guerilla deployable units).

Shield wall/ hoplite wall/ shield screen stat effects applied to the units’ base stats so that these abilities are now purely for bracing mechanics.

Hoplites are now more oriented around killing infantry and versatility rather than an anti-cavalry role.

All pike units now have 180 men (50% more men) and modified spacing so that they dont kill too fast.

Less javelins, particularly on low-tier units.

Morale and melee combat should be a bit more stable during melee combat now.

Fatigue has a greater threshold, units recover quicker than before, and combat tires units noticeably quicker. This encourages troop rotation and at least some time spent on resting units.

Few more general units now available in campaign (ex: Bactrian Hellenic Cataphracts, Carthaginian Sacred Band, Brtion Druidic Nobles, Massilian Court Guard, ect.).

Two new custom battle factions: Numidia and Etruscan Leauge. Should also see them fielding their diverse armies in campaign.

Sword cavalry gets a bonus versus infantry, as does shock cavalry to a lesser extent.

Sword cavalry, skirmisher cavalry, and skirmisher-hybrid infantry are resistant to fatigue.

Changed Picked Peltasts to be more like cheaper Royal Peltasts.

Changed many light cavalry units into sword cavalry units.

At this point, all playable factions should have at least one semi-sturdy main-line infantry unit.

Garrison unique units (ex: Tribal Garrison, Plebs, Mob, Citizen Militia) have 320 men (100% more) so that they can at least be used as meat-shields during seiges.

The initial recruitment of mercenaries is now cheaper.

Some basic infantry units are now recruitable by the Steppe factions.

Dismounting cavalry is more viable now. Essentially, dismounted units trade charge bonus for melee defence.

Made transport ships more vulnerable.

Less focus on unit special abilities.

Select units are available from earlier building tiers (ex: scythian hoplites, scale thorax hoplites, picked peltasts, ect.).

Devalued select low-tier units in CDIR values to get the AI to field more diverse armies.

Increased compatibility with other mods.

Fixed various inconsistencies (ex: mass, displayed mass, available generals in campaign, ect.).

Ship crews are now filled with higher tier units to give navies more value and versatility when landing.

Added a number of new unit cards.
