Rune Of The Shapeshifter (DE)
A re-creation of the "Rune of Shapeshifting" mod by !WolvanlD8M for DOS 2 Classic (which was abandoned). This mod provides 4 runes, which have been balanced to allow a user to shape-shift to a single race of their choice.
The runes provide a minor boost (Same as a small masterwork rune) when slotted in Armour or Weapon rune slots. When inserted into the amulet rune slot, the user will gain the skills required to shape-shift to their race of choice and a buff that was inspired by the race.
-Human gets +2 persuasion, +1 to barter & +1 to wit.
-Lizard gets +25% fire resistance, +6 to initiative & +1 to finesse.
-Elf get +2 to memory, +1 to lore-master, +1 to intelligence
-Dwarf gets +2 to constitution, +1 to strength & +15% earth resistance.
All runes are craft-able and have unique recipes which are simple and easy to get ingredients for.
For Early / Whole Game:
-Ripped face of race X + Bone Dust + Disgusting Bag Of Mush
-Ripped face of race X + Bone Bust + Augmenter
How to craft "Disgusting Bag Of Mush"
Any Non Void Fish (other than sailfish) + Whisperwood + Intestines or giblets
raw red meat + Penny Bun Mushroom + Intestines or giblets
Mid / Late Game:
Mask Of Shapeshifter of race X + Pixie Dust

NOTE: The mask of the shapeshifter (4 race mask) cannot be crafted into a rune. This was done in the interest being somewhat balanced.

This version of the mod also gives the users the ability to stay shape-shifted even after the removal of the rune. I did this because i didn’t want to write a script to prevent users from doing this (As i liked this feature in classic), however you are stuck as that race until you re-equip the rune and use the revert back to original form spell.
