Battered – Armor & Resistance Tweak

This mod aims to improve on the viability of split damage type builds by attempting to solve two major issues facing these types of builds:

  • Physical and magic damage types do not support each other – focusing a single type is typically better
  • Large magic resistances makes magic damage less viable compared to physical damage.

This mod introduces a new status "Battered" in an attempt to alleviate these issues. Whenever a character is hit by physical damage they suffer two turns of "Battered". While Battered is active, the character suffers a decrease in all magic resistances proportional to their missing physical armor.

Taking physical damage has left this character open to magical attacks. Magic resistances are decreased by 1% for every 3% missing Physical Armour.

"Battered" can be applied to most characters in the game. Characters that do not use the DefaultCharacter script will not be affected by this status.

Practical stuff

This mod is not finetuned! If you chose to install this you may experience issues and should know that these may or may not get fixed depending on whether or not future me feels this mod fullfills its basic purpose adequately.

This mod overwrites the DefaultCharacter script and so is not compatible with other mods that do so.
