205 Series + 207-900 Created by IWAKYU
Designed and manufactured by JNR, it appeared in 1985 and replaced 103 series and 201 series mainly for energy saving.
When transferring to the Tohoku Main Line, the speed control brake, snow brake, and pantograph were added and modified. 
The middle car of the 205 series, which was mainly used on the Yamanote Line, was remodeled into the leading car, and the mascon became a one-handle car. 
Initially, 6 out of 8 cars were electric cars to cope with the steep slopes of the Keiyo Line. However, a shortage of electric vehicles was expected at the time of the transfer. By remodeling to VVVF, it is possible to operate 4 out of 8 cars. 
It is the only VVVF vehicle operated in the JNR era. 
205-0: Yamanote Line/Saikyo Line/Musashino Line/Nambu Line/Keiyo Line (Meruhen)
205-600：Tohoku Line（Standard+Meruhen）
205-1200：Nambu Line
205-5000：Musashino Line (normal + Meruhen)
207-900：Joban Local Line Chiyoda Line Direct Train
