The Amber Kingdom:

(BETA).

The mod adds the Amber Kingdom faction, available in the Mortal Empires campaign ONLY. This is a custom faction that still tries to commit to the background of the Warhammer universe and provides another start that is both exciting and far from Athel Loren. Enter the world of the Blood Elves! Requires Mixu’s Unlocker


"Originally an off-shoot group of Asrai (Wood Elves) that have lost contact with their kin for millennia, the Kaadari (Blood Elves) were constantly beset on all sides by numerous beasts, looters, WAAGHs, and marauders. In accordance to such circumstances, they have conjured bizarre and savage ways in order to ensure their survival. With cults dedicated to the Blood God increasingly gaining influence within the Amber Glade and the emergence of a certain figure leading them to victory after victory, the Kaadari have awoken with fury and vengeance…"

Some compatibility issues reported with Kislev Reborn (looking into that).

Works with OvN, Mixu’s LL lords, Cataph’s TEB, etc..
Works with the forge of starlight, albeit you’ll have one extra tab in the cult, but you can just ignore it.

The faction has effects/missions/tech bonuses tied to some factions that only appear in OvN (such as Araby and the Chaos Dwarves). Those effects will only apply if you have that mod!

If you use the "New Settlement, Who Dis" mod, there will be unique settlement renames for the Amber Kingdom, if you check the correct option for it with the Mod Configuration Tool.

The upcoming update will include:

– Completion of Kellebron and Akhnar’s skill trees.
– Akhnar’s units.
– Reskin of vanilla units to the Blood Elf theme.
– Visual overhaul of all Kaadari (Blood Elf) units, giving them a unique outlook.
– Color theme of basic Kaadari units to be decided in a poll (not the skin tone; as that has been established already).
– Few more events and dilemmas, custom videos for said events and dilemmas
– Agents to be revitalized and completion of all 3 basic agent types.

– More custom VFXs.
– More unique events/dilemmas/missions and quests.
– Blood Guard, with custom models.
– Lore of Amber.

– With the coming Daemons of Chaos for TW:WH III, the Amber Kingdom will be heavily tied with Khornate units such as Bloodletters, Bloodthirsters, etc.

If you have any suggestions or would outright like to help with minor aspects to speed things up, do not shy away and let me know. I plan on working on this mod for a long time until I feel like it is a proper, fully-functioning vanilla-like faction that is unique in its own right. For the most part, that would not happen until game 3 since the major part of the plan is to tie the Amber Kingdom with Daemons of Khorne. Meaning that the Amber Kingdom will hopefully make a comeback for Total War: Warhammer III’s combined campaign map!
