Greetings. Let me ask you a few questions before we begin to delve into the dark and forboding world of Chaos. Do you feel that the Chaos Invasion lacks a sense of climacy? Do you feel it lacks the futility of your own mortality? Do you feel that the Chaos Invasion harbours a lack of larger purpose?… In other words, Is the Chaos Invasion to you too ♥♥♥♥ing easy? Is it so ♥♥♥♥ing easy that Kislev beats them into submission and you go "Huh? Chaos is here? I’d now know."? Is chaos to you some bloody lapdog in your campaigns that go "MEHMEHMEEH, I ARE EVUL, FEAR MEEE" then suddenly dies from KISLEV? Where is that "Numberless in Size" that you promised Advisor? WHERE IS IT?

If all of these are yes, then boy, may I present to you: Guv’s Chaos Invasion mod for WH2!

What does this Mod do?
  • The Chaos Invasion has undergone changes. New spawn size, horde size, army template, horde buildings etc. Read "Overview" for much more info.
  • Norsca and Beastmen has undergone changes to increase their lifespan. Norscan invasion down at sartosa have seen large changes to their spawn quality.
  • Does not tamper with Main_unit_tables or Land_unit_tables in any way.

  • Discipline attribute

The unused trait "disciplined" has been renamed to "End Times Discipline" with a new description and a new icon.
If you’re using any mod that already changes the trait icon and such… sorry?

  • Warriors of Chaos + Overall Invasion:

Chaos Invasion appears as follows:
Early at turn 120 (previously 100)
Late at turn 170 (previously 150)

Early game Imperium requirement is 9 (from 7)
Late game Imperium requirement is 12 (from 10)

Increased horde spawns on both Early and Late chaos invasion. Legendary will challenge you.
(Example: Legendary is 24 stacks late invasion)
Increased army value and changed units spawned on both Early and Late chaos invasion. DLC units are applied, shaggoths and high tier infantry is more common. If you use my Chaos units mod, then will work with this mod.
Archaon and Sarthorael have specialised army templates.

Increased spawning levels of Heroes and Lords:
Archaon and Sarthorael starts at lvl 40. Regular lords (19-21 early, 30-32 late) and heroes between 19-21.

Changed starting horde building templates to feature more buildings and higher horde level.

Added a new script which guarentees higher ranked Armies on spawn.
(Factions affected are Warriors of Chaos, Servants of Chaos, Puppets of Chaos, Bjornling)
Here are the different difficulty rankings:
Legendary: 9
Very Hard: 8
Hard: 6
Normal: 4
Easy: 3

Warriors of Chaos has +1000% research rate, Recruitment cost and upkeep -100% and horde growth +5

  • Skills and Traits:

Updated skill utilization hints to force Archaon, Sarthorael, Kholek and Sigvald to go for their unique personal trees a bit more favorably.

Sarthoraels little hidden skill called "Daemon of Tzeentch" now has
"Leadership +15 for all WOC units (all armies)"
"Leadership +10 for Chosen units (all armies)"
"Leadership +10 for Monster units (all armies)"
"All units gain End Times Discipline(all armies). Units now don’t gain a leadership debuff from lords dying".
(This is because I could not find any other way to get it conveniently so the armies in late chaos invasion
are frenzied with leadership bonuses.)

Added a few extra details to Sarthoraels high priority gain Skill:
Unit recruit rank +4 (Lord’s army)
Unit experience per turn +10000 (Lord’s army)
+30% missile resistance (lords army)
+10% ward save (lords army)
+10% casualty replenishment (lords army)
-100% upkeep (lords army) (works as a failsafe)

Added a few new details to Archaon’s trait:

Added a few new details to Kholek’s trait:
Modified Kholek’s weapon to deal Three Times the damage to siege defences.
+100% Hitpoints (character own)
+15% Missile resistance (character own)
-100% upkeep (lords army) (works as a failsafe)
Wallbreaker trait (character own) (KHOLEK SMASH!)

Added a few new details to Sigvald’s trait:
+50% Physical resistance (character own)
+20% Missile resistance (character own)
-100% upkeep (lords army) (works as a failsafe)

  • Norsca:

World walkers(Norsca) and Winthertooth’s taxrate (10%), building income (50%) and local recruitment capacity (3) is increased factionwide.
Norscan military buildings has a small income bonus (max 50 and 80 on some).
World Walkers(Norsca) and Wintertooth are both vassalized to Warriors of Chaos when they arrive and will share their enemies.
Increased army value and unit templates on Norscan invasion (Bjorning against Dwarfs and Greenskins).

  • Beastmen:

Beasts of Chaos are disabled. None of that in our Chaos Invasion!
Beastmen warherds gain +5 horde growth, +200% extra income form Razing raiding, raiding and 150% from post-battle loot.
Beastmen warherds have a static +2 animosity bonus. Expect Bray herds!

  • Bundle:

Changed effect bundles that WOC Lords and Legendary Lords spawn with so now they come with immunity to ground and sea based attrition.

Compatibility

DO NOT use any mods that alter the "wh_chaos_invasion.lua" script. You are going to have a bad time.
It’s fine to use mods that edits unit stats, skills and techs.
