Description:

Introducing the Atelier civilization, which aims to be the ultimate representation of Gust’s Atelier series in Civilization VI. Includes a Puni unit with model and animations, mood portraits for leaders, custom atelier improvements, and carefully-synthesized civ and leader designs. Civilization Traits

Alchemical Synthesis:

  • Gathering Storm: Earning a Eureka or Inspiration has a chance to spawn a random resource within your territory. While improved, strategic resources increase their stockpiles by an amount equal to five turns of accumulation, and units that require strategic resources receive a +5 Combat Strength Bonus when attacking units that do not.
  • R&F, Base Game: Earning a Eureka or Inspiration has a chance to spawn a random resource within your territory. Units that require strategic resources receive a Combat Strength Bonus when attacking units that do not.

Atelier Improvement: +1 Housing. Copies to its tile the yield bonuses from resources in adjacent tiles, even after the resources been harvested or removed. Can be built on features. One per city. Unlocks at Craftsmanship.

Puni Unit: Ancient era unit that costs less to produce than the Scout it replaces. Gains 2 bonus Movement if it begins its turn on a hills tile.

Totori / Leader Traits

The Wayfarer of Arland: Starts with Sailing and Shipbuilding unlocked. Moving a unit adjacent to a foreign continent for the first time grants a Eureka. Founding or capturing a coastal city grants a free naval unit in that city.
Agenda – Pioneer: Totori will seek the frontiers, and would rather you left them to her.

Lydie & Suelle / Leader Traits

Mysterious Paintings: The Palace and Government Plaza buildings have a Great Work of Art slot. The Atelier improvement generates +1 Great Artist points per turn when adjacent to three or more resources. Recruiting a Great Artist awards an Inspiration.
Agenda – Empathetic Twins: Lydie & Suelle want their citizens to enjoy happy lives, and expect the same from other civilizations.

Recommended Pairing

With its foil wrapping and nougat center, the Atelier civilization pairs well with the Removable Resources and Features mod. This will enable you to remove resources that spawn in tiles where you’d rather they hadn’t, and will override the basic measures already in place (see Notes below).

Notes
  • This mod requires no expansions or other DLC.
  • Enables basic resource extraction for resources that can be improved. This can be disabled in Core/SAILOR_ATLEER_Resource_Harvests.sql.
  • The chance for a resource to spawn via Alchemical Synthesis is currently 13%.
  • Supports resource mods.
  • Supported languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese
  • For anyone experiencing desyncs in multiplayer, I’ve added an option to play the game with the old version of the Atelier improvement. You can find this check box in advanced options[i.imgur.com] during game setup.
  • If you’re a modder who would like to make a leader for this civilization, feel free.
