[WOTC] Shadow Detection Radius
From the creator of the critically acclaimed "100/10" mod description of SET ITEM WEIGHT, comes the epic sequel where I will try to foolishly recapture the sass and charm of the original with…
SHADOW DETECTION RADIUS
- Shadow now uses the standard concealment detection radius instead of 1 tile universally [Adjustable]. No longer will suspiciously dressed Reapers obviously carrying lethal weapons be able to casually walk by ADVENT and ask them for directions.
- Removed the mobility bonus of Shadow [Adjustable]. Reapers aren’t juicing up on powerthirst when no one else can see them.
- Reapers can now use abilities such as Ghostwalker and Covert from LW2 Classes and Perks or Chimera Classes like the rest of us mortals.
- I learned how to use tags. Now everyone who isn’t searching for this mod can find it too.
- It’s so simple, it doesn’t even need a bloated ReadMe file this time.
Should be compatible with everything.
XCOM 2 Community Highlander – Without it, only the change to mobility will function.
There are two values you can change in this mod. Their defaults are:
- Detection radius: standard unit detection radius.
- Mobility while concealed with Shadow: no bonus.
To change the effectiveness of Shadow’s detection radius and mobility bonus yourself, go to:
And edit XComShadowDetectionRadius.ini and/or XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini.
What’s the deal with screenshot 4?!
This.
Set Item Weight – Both mods aim to make choosing your loadout less trivial. Also because I have no shame.
Grobobobo – the code used here is based off what’s used in Hero Class Rebalance.
All contributors to the XCOM 2 Community Highlander for making this change easy.
