Description:

The Hardpoint and Supplies backpack is an optional attachment for the MU-05 Talos Heavy Combat Mech. This attachment allows the user to equip Talos with a multitude of weapons from the Newquay Modular Weapon Pack by placing the desired weapon onto the articulating hardpoint! Alongside the ability to equip munitions, this backpack also comes equipped with a stockpile of battle-ready equipment for any situation. (This attachment connects to Talos’ backpack slot).

  • Backpack is controlled by tapping the hotkey "5" while seated in Talos.
  • Mouse aimed, articulating hardpoint allows the user to install any supported weapon from the Newquay Modular Weapon Pack , which enables the ability to choose weapon loadouts so the pilot is always ready for what the enemy can throw at them!
  • Backpack can open to reveal a multitude of equipment and supplies, ranging from guns and ammo to medical equipment and ropes, the pilot can rest assured that whatever happens, theyre covered.
  • Auto-adjusting internal trigger controller actively changes the users output to best suit the installed munition. To elaborate, this means that if the user has rockets installed, the trigger will be a single fire push output, however if a rapid firing weapon is installed such as an autocannon, the trigger will automatically change to a toggle, so the user doesnt have to spam keys to fire!
  • Onboard notifications will alert the pilot if there is an error with their installed ordinance, The errors being as follows:
    • "Invalid Ordinance": this warning means the user has installed a weapon that is outputting an invald ordinance number, Talos cannot fire certain munitions such as bombs, fuel tanks, or torpedoes.
    • "Ordinance Overload": this warning means the user has installed equipment on both of the hardpoints on the gimbal. The system only allows one weapon installed at a time as to not overload the auto trigger adaption. However two hardpoints are included so that larger weapons that cannot fit between the hardpoint and Talos’ shoulder can be placed on the outside hardpoint.
  • Plug-and-play technology allows the hardpoint backpack to be easily installed via hardpoints on Talos’ back, no logic or merging needed!
  • For the determined individual, in the MC underneath the backpack, there is a toggleable option named "Allow Invalid Ordinance Release", enabling this will allow the hardpoint to launch any munition and override the "Invalid Ordinance" warning.
