DESCRIPTION

TL;DR: Any unit with the Marauder ability (Template name ‘SkirmisherStrike’) or its Proficiency Class Plugin counterpart (Template name ‘WOTC_APA_Marauder’) will automatically spend only one action point if they fire a Pistol as the first action of their turn, as if they had Quickdraw.

With the introduction of Dedicated Pistol Slot 2.0 (pardon the self promotion) I’ve ended up giving a Pistol to almost every class, Skirmishers included. This has highlighted a certain issue with them though: despite Marauder allowing them to shoot their Bullpup twice per turn, shooting with a pistol still ends the turn unless they have Quickdraw.

Now, one could very easily edit their ClassData.ini file to add Quickdraw as a squaddie ability, but that’s annoying and can be difficult to do if you run mods that change the Skirmisher’s ability set, and besides it doesn’t make sense Marauder allows the Bullpup to fire twice but not a meager Pistol.

So now every unit with the Marauder ability (Template name ‘SkirmisherStrike’) will automatically spend only one action point if he/she fires a Pistol as the first action of their turn.

This was primarily built for Dedicated Pistol Slot 2.0, but can be used for any class with the Marauder ability, if they are able to equip a Pistol.

Should be compatible with everything, since it only adds a condition to the PistolStandardShot ability to not consume all action points if the unit has the Marauder ability.
