Vampire Outbreak v0.5
Setting:
A terrible plague has broken out in the world of Kenshi. Seemingly Human, they create storms of blood and misery wherever they tread. To the Holy Nation’s Citizens, they are feared and described as an apparition of Narko’s malice; A curse upon the world! To the United Cities Peasants, it is a blood sucking monster wearing the skin of a man. To the old world, they are known as Vampires!
Author’s Notes:
I put together a Vampire faction for Kenshi. Bands of Vampires and Ghouls roam areas of the map killing and eating everything they encounter. The Vampires and Ghouls are not overwhelmingly strong and can be handled by any mid-game characters(stats of 40-60 with standard gear). Some areas have a higher chance of spawning Vampire/Ghoul roaming groups.
There are some references and jokes but it is overall pretty lore conforming. There is lots of dialogue for both Vampires and Ghouls.
There are currently three new starting scenarios for the mod.
Features I will add in the future:
– Vampire Hunter Faction: I intend on adding a faction that specialise in killing Vampires. They will have their own quests as well(if I can figure the FCS spaghetti out for it) as well as their own gear variants with a cool color scheme. Sort of like the Dawnguard from Skyrim. Weird.
– More dialogue pertaining to seeing Vampires/Ghouls(Also for Vampire Hunter Faction when I add them). Holy Nation citizens will scream in terror at seeing the Undead or pray to Okran while the United Cities peasants will call for the guards and flee.
-A research tree for unique weapons and armor for both factions. Perhaps a cure as well, provided you find the Vampire Progenitor.
Hint:
The Vampire Progenitor can be found wandering in one of the many regions of the game. You will need to find him for the future research tree.
