Description:

Ever wondered how the people of the medieval ages would deal with time travelers? Thought about how the organized religions of the world would react to real magic? Want to create a mod about your favorite character introducing the light of modern civilization to the peasantry, but didn’t know where to start? Here is the mod for you!

THIS MOD DOES NOTHING BY ITSELF!
It is a framework to allow multiple characters to show up with wildly different innovations without having to create eras for each one. The Lost Souls Readme.txt contains examples of how to create a mod compatible with this framework.

Mod main points:

  • New Era – This mod adds a new cultural era: the Anachronistic era. This is an umbrella era for all of the innovations that might be introduced from time travelers, portal wanderers, isekai characters, and the like. It also unlocks the year requirements for each era, because eras are sequential, and the medieval ones need to be advanced through for any anachronistic cultures to get to the Anachronistic Era.
  • Character appearances – New characters can appear based on onactions in subsequent mods. It usually takes the form of an outsider showing up at your court, though other kinds of events may occur as an indication that an outsider has arrived.
  • Randomization options – Options can be set at game start that allow for several types of playthroughs:
    • Characters will start spawning after the first year (This is for people who want to start things quickly)
    • Characters will not start spawning until 25 years after game start, with increasing chances every 25 years, until all have spawned around 125 years after game start. (This is for people who want to go through a few generations before outsiders start showing up)
    • Characters have a specified date that they will appear (Note that depending on your start date some characters will not show up if the bookmark is after their appearance)

Compatibility
No overwritten vanilla files, so should work fine with pretty much anything. NOT Achievements compatible, unfortunately. Make sure this is before any Lost Souls mods in the load order. I would recommend starting a new save when installing this mod.

Future Features:
Timeline of Character Appearances – updated when new Lost Souls mods are published

Future Lost Souls Character Mods
Original Fantasy Mercenary Groups – Ariadu – In progress
Historical Scientists Pack

Personal Note:
This is my first published CK3 mod. Let me know in the discussion section about improvements, bugs etc. and I will try to address your concerns. This mod was created mostly for my own enjoyment of CK3 and I would like to share it with you. Improving it would help us both. I do this in my spare time,
but if you want to send me a tip you can do so here: PayPal[www.paypal.me]

This mod was inspired by the many individual mods that added certain characters, cultures, or faiths, but were incompatible with each other, overwrote vanilla files, or exist only in massive overhauls.
