Sons of the Southern Song
Sons of the Southern Song explores an alternate history in which:
The Roman Empire never quite fell. It was weakened and the roman nobles now act as independent rulers though paying lip service to the emperor.
The Ming never conquered China. Instead, warlords have divided the territory, entrenching their control. However the dream of a united China remains, elusive as it may be.
When the sunni caliphate fell it was overtaken by the shia immamate.
In Russia the steppe hordes have been more successful. The Russian nations have been pushed back to the Baltic.
The Holy Roman Empire was never formed. Germany is ripe for conquest.

Modified Patriarchal Authority to give Rome a chance of integrating its noble lords
New cb type for german culture nations "Unification of Germany" against any other german culture nation.
New Religion "Mozarabi," a mix of Islam and Christianity. Can convert to sunni or orthodox. Present in Iberia.
Heavenly Reformed Empire in Northern China
Modified Institutions to frequently spawn in East Asia. Institutions difference between China and Europe is not as significant as in base game.

Create custom events, disasters, decisions for Rome, Leon, The Immamate, Yue, and Chinese minors
Update later Bookmarks (Currently functional, though the results are quite strange. 1444 start date suggested.)
Compatibility:
Should be usable with any DLC combination. Likely incompatible with mods that modify: provinces, countries, religions, the HRE, in game text content, bookmarks, causus belli, governments, ideas, or institutions.
Installation:
Please follow these 3 steps after downloading.
1. Open your Paradox/Europa Universalis IV/mod folder
2. Extract the zip folder in your mods folder, when prompted skip the "discriptor.mod" file.
3. Open "Sons of the Southern Song.mod" with notepad and change "archive=mod/sons of the southern song.zip" to "archive=mod/sons of the southern song"
If the folder is not extracted you may experience: German Wars bookmark not displaying, Rome’s govenment as "nogovernment," Mozarabi as "noreligion," Chinese nations colors do not match flag, parts of the Americas are visible when it shouldn’t be.
