Description:

**Should be compatible with every mod including overhauls like SFO/Crynsos only for ME campaigns**

This mod gives Lizardmen factions an extra settlement and an accompanying upkeep-free army around the Warhhamer World (Player/AI still retain their home region).

Settlements

  • Antoch, Araby – Itza
  • Mistnar, Ulthuan – Hexoatl
  • Black Iron Mine, Badlands – Last Defenders

Info

Part of my "Old vs New" range of mods, these mods aim to increase the interaction between the New World and Old. As it stands the New World and Old World currently have very little interaction in the game, this mod changes that by giving settlements to Lizardmen factions with accompanying upkeep-free armies around the Warhammer World. This provides some degree of gameplay variety to any faction that interacts with these regions and the various Lizardmen factions. Conflicts erupt that span the shores of the Warhammer world as friend and foe are dragged into distant wars.

Fluff
  • Antoch – Warhammer Armies: Lizardmen (5th Edition) Page 8.
An expedition launched from Zlatlan in order to recover the the mummified remains of a Slann stolen by the Tomb Kings.
  • Black Iron Mine – Warhammer Fantasy (1st edition) Core Rule Book – The Ziggurat of Doom, example battle.
"In the darkling woods of Dwarfstrangle* there stands a most ancient ziggurat. Solitary and forgotten the crumbling mound passes century upon century undisturbed", this is in line with Lizardmen architecture.
*Could be anywhere in the Old World but must be near mountain/forest.
  • Mistnar – Warhammer Fantasy 8th edition Starter Set, Island Of Blood (Narrative for the set)
"The Island of Blood is littered with Mystical Monuments and Arcane Ruins, the relics of a distant, almost forgotten age. Many of the the fallen, crumbling stones of these temples still resonate with magical energy". This could be a reference to the Lizardmen.
  • With the coming Chaos Tide, powerful Slanns enacting the great plan enter deep into meditation. With terrifying magic they awaken ancient spawning pools and slann artifacts in distant lands which the Lizardmen once called home. Why? They do not fully understand yet but the Great Plan wil reveal itself.

Technical Info

This is a LUA script which is highly compatible with other mods as it runs separately to other mods. The pack file name is SR_lizawaken if you want to have a look or edit anything.
