Let Me Patch That For You
This is a collection of patches for Civilization VI mods that seem to be "orphaned".
Unfortunately not all of the modders are still supporting or working on their mods.
No accusation, no complaining!
Time is a precious commodity and sometimes it’s just the priorities that change.
Anyway, and for what reasons ever, there are a few mods out there that haven’t been updated in a while and error reports or improvement request in the comments haven’t been answered either. These mods seem to be "orphaned".
The "Let Me Patch That For You" mod wants to help and breathe new life into these "orphans" by applying little patches to them to fix errors, add some improvements or establish compatibility to other mods.
There are four classes of patches:
- cosmetic patches
- fixing patches
- compatibility patches
- improvement patches
The cosmetic patches are typically small patches that try to fix little errors or forgotten trifles and do not have any effect on the gameplay. These include forgotten text updates, forgotten translation options or errors in the sql or xml files that lead to information not being displayed in the game etc.
The fixing patches are typically small patches that try to fix little errors or forgotten trifles in the original mod. Usually, these patches have a minor impact on the gameplay.
The compatibility patches try to make two mods work together ingame. A typical example is a unit that can interact with elements introduced by another mod, such as a new resource. Usually, these patches have a minor impact on the gameplay.
The improvement patches try to improve a mod by adding new features to it. These patches have a more or less large, but noticeable impact on the gameplay.
So far the following patches have been added to this mod:
- Botanist Guildmaster patch (improvement)
This patch adds the botanist to Governor Liang’s "Guildmaster" promotion.
Mods needed: Botanist by AOM - Botanist in Latin America patch (compatibility)
This patch lets the botanist use the resources from the "Latin American Resources" mod.
Mods needed: Botanist by AOM, and Latin American Resources by Leugi & p0kiehl - Botanist Tundra Floodplains Rice (compatibility)
This patch enables the botanist to plant rice on tundra floodplains fields introduced by the "Wetlands" mod.
Mods needed: Botanist by AOM, and Wetlands by JNR - Herdsman herds Bisons patch (compatibility)
This patch lets the herdsman use the resource Bisons from the "Sukritact’s Resources" mod.
Mods needed: Herdsman by AOM, and Sukritact’s Resources by sukritact & Deliverator23 - Herdsman herds Foxes patch (improvement)
This patch lets the herdsman use the resource Furs.
Mods needed: Herdsman by AOM. - Herdsman herds Ham patch (compatibility)
This patch lets the herdsman use the resource Ham from the "Resourceful 2" mod.
Mods needed: Herdsman by AOM, and Resourceful 2 by Amatheria, p0kiehl & Zegangani - Herdsman herds Penguins patch (compatibility)
This patch lets the herdsman use the resource Penguins the "CIVITAS Resources" mod.
Mods needed: Herdsman by AOM, and CIVITAS Resources by Sailor Cat, thecrazyscotsman, SeelingCat, chimp & p0kiehl - Herdsman Guildmaster patch (improvement)
This patch adds the herdsman to Governor Liang’s "Guildmaster" promotion.

This patch lets the herdsman use the resources from the "Latin American Resources" mod.

This patch fixes the non-working production bonus of Governor Gajah Madah’s base promotion.
Mods needed: Indonesia Rework – Port Lime by Captain Lime, Leugi & p0kiehl - Lyceum patch (cosmetic)
A small patch to fix/add the Lyceum”s name and description to this building.
Mods needed: Lyceum – Early Science Building by Linguaphile - Reindeer patch (cosmetic)
A small patch to add the reindeer to the description of "Animal husbandry".
Mods needed: Reindeer by AOM - Resource Project for Natural Gas patch (compatibility)
This patch adds the resource project for natural gas to the mod.
Mods needed: Resource Projects by Liam, and Natural Gas by Searching… - Second Ability NFP Patch (compatibility)
This patch adds the new leaders introduced by the New Frontier Pass (NFP) to the mod.
Mods needed: Second ability by SentryGC - Very Nice Magazine patch (cosmetic)
A small patch to fix/add the Magazine’s name and description to this building.
Mods needed: Very Nice Magazine by Mgwska
The patches can be enabled or disabled in the "Advanced Setup" section in the game setup.
A patch will only be visible if the corresponding mods have been activated before.
