Description:
Flight Modes
    Simple
Point in the direction you’d like to fly. It is less realistic than simulation mode yet easier to fly.

    Simulation
Allows you to take full control of the plane’s pitch, roll and yaw. It calculates realistic aerodynamic forces like lift and drag. Although, a little trickier to fly, I find this flight mode far more fun than the simple one.

How To Fly
    Taking off
Set the throttle to 100%. Once you have gained enough speed, tilt the nose slightly up and let the plane climb.

    Cruising
Set the thrust around 50%. Avoid sharp turns.

    Small map mode
Makes the plane more agile so that it can be easily controlled on smaller maps (simple flight mode only).

Controls
  • Press "O" while in a plane to toggle the options screen, then press "Show Controls".
Ideas for Future Updates
  • AI planes (friendlies and enemies).
  • AI navy and ground (tanks, SAMs).
  • More weapons like rocket barrages, guided/unguided bombs and so on.
  • Retractable landing gear.
  • Realistic damage effects:
  • > Broken left wing = less left wing lift, making the plane spin.
  • > Broken rudders = less yaw
  • > Engine damage = less thrust
  • Different maps based on real airports and airfields.
  • Aircraft carrier slingshot takeoff and tail hook landing.
  • Missions scenarios like ground elimination, dogfights, etc…
  • Planes that will likely be added: F16, F18, F22, B-52, MQ-1, Typhoon, SU-25, SU-33, SU-57. More plane models will be released after I’ve finished programming the plane systems.
Known Issues and Bugs
  • Sometimes, while flying in simple flight mode, you will enter an empty void, the hud will have values like NaN and -inf, and will not be able to see anything in the game besides the skybox and fog. This is likely a glitch in Teardown’s engine. If this happens, you can try to restart the map a few times or exit the plane once the map loads.
  • Planes with moving parts sometimes get stuck in the air after being damaged.
  • VTOL and larger planes can be slightly hard to control.
