Characteristics.
Rainforest cells provide a +1 adjacency bonus to Academy, Commerce Center, Sanctuary, and Theater Square areas, and +1 Charisma to adjacent cells (instead of the usual -1 Charisma). All featured areas can only be built on rainforests, swamps or woods, and buildings in that area receive an additional landform benefit.
When fighting in a rainforest, swamp, or woods cell, all units gain +5 combat power. If you start your turn on these cells, +1 movement power. If these cells are located in your territory, the bonus is doubled.
