House Capet 769

3rd version, updated 30th June 2022, new decisions added! French Empire Government + flavour! You can now get the artifacts with any Capet ruler!

This mod adds some flavour to House Capet, primarily in bookmark 769. You need Charlemagne and Holy Fury dlc for this mod. Installation instructions below. Characters can marry properly with this mod now, tested without issues. Not save game compatible, Not achievement compatible.

Mod info:

Play as Thurimbert Capet, ancestor to Hugh Capet, historical father of the Capetian Dynasty. Thurimbert will have a story event script spread over the early years like Charlemagne, most events have 2 crucial choices, and some decisions taken in the first year (like pressing immediate claims) might prevent some events from happening.

Bloodlines:

Two bloodlines are added to House Capet.
First is Blood of Robert, Thurimbert’s father, enjoy some bonus in stewardship
Second is Blood of Hugh Capet, for some martial aid

Artifacts:

Three Artifacts added to House Capet.

Planner of Robert I – Grade 5 book, adds stewardship bonus and extends demesne limit

Sword of the Robertians – Grade 5 sword, adds combat rating, martial and dynasty opinion

Armorial of House Capet – Grade 5 Artifact, you can only get this when you are King of France or Emperor of Frankia, restricted to Capetian Dynasty, Artifact is available in all bookmarks

Decisions:

Capet Dynasty rulers could get the Planner and Sword Artifact via a new decision when you are King/Emperor of France/Francia

Decision to adopt French Imperial government. Thought I would make a new government for the French Empire since most of my mods have their own governments. It’s just an overpowered government where you can call your feudal vassals into wars like tribals, essentially a edited copy of the Zoroastrian Resurgence mod government.

Added localisation on french culture, so french Emperors will be called Empereur and Empress Impératrice.

Changed e_france flag and map colour

Added a Napoleon inspired French Emperor trait.

Last but not least, this mod is not historically accurate, meant for fun, so no banging on historical nonsense or inaccuracies. Enjoy, have fun:)

Installation instructions:
From personal experience, steam always messes with the zip file installation, here’s how to manually activate it. I’ve learned from Valyrison AGOT sub mod that the 5 step instructions may not be enough, here’s the full attended step list to do one by one. If you still can’t get it right, comment with full detail of what you have done so far and I’ll try to help you out as best I can.

Step 1: Go to Documents/Pandorax Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/mod
Step 2: Locate house capet 769.zip
Step 3: extract zip file, you should get a folder called House Capet 769, leave it alone, all the data is inside
Step 4: Locate House Capet 769.mod.mod
Step 5: Rename to House Capet 769.mod, open this file with text edit and replace everything inside with the following

Step 6: delete the zip file

Now you can restart the game, check the mod file under the mod tab, and voila, have fun, there’s no more need to unsubscribe:)
