Tower Defense
As part of a diversionary action to mask a larger operation, a small Raven strikeforce is about to conduct an aerial raid in a heavily populated city located towards the center of Eagle-held territory. Raven High Command hopes that such a brazen attack will fully occupy the enemy for some time, and when the other operation is complete, the special forces group will have secured a large enough area that they can be safely recovered and evacuated by air. What they don’t know is that Eagle Intelligence has caught wind of the attack at the last second, and has rapidly deployed any nearby forces to the city to fend off the attack and evacuate the civilian population. While most of the Eagle Army is concentrating on foiling the larger operation elsewhere, the defenders have a home field advantage with strong defenses. The Raven SFG will need to adapt quickly or risk being wiped out.
While my favorite part of combined arms shooters like ravenfield is watching the aircraft flying overhead, I thought I would try a more infantry focused map this time, and I think it turned out pretty fun. Having a smaller map area meant I could add more detail and scenery without burning out my GPU. Some of the buildings have traversable interiors that are navmeshed for the bots, so it’s more close-quarters than my other maps. Bring a shotgun!
Also while it might seem difficult to capture the apartments at first, I moved the spawn points so that when the flag is contested, the defending team will spawn on the ground floor and will need to work their way up, so if you can get to the roof and clear it, there is a good chance you will capture it.
