Description:
Introduction:

Meet Garri Baldi, a Tech Hunter “representative" with big dreams for the decaying town of Mourn. Garri likes to hang out in the Bar at Mourn where he sips his rum waiting for a well heeled adventurer to part with their legitimately earned cats in exchange for re-vitalising Mourn.

Features:

Through some comedic dialogue players can invest in upgrading Mourn to turn it into a functioning faction (Tech Hunters) town. The options are summarised below.

* Install power generators in two of the small shacks.
* Add gate guards that will use the turrets to defend Mourn.
* Rebuild one of the towers becoming a Shinobi Thieves HQ.
* Add a skeleton limbs shop in the Longhouse.
* Add a trade shop in the Y-house.
* Make the Ancient Lab purchasable.

Or you can by-pass the investments and simply buy Mourn for 1,000,000 cats.

The base town of Mourn has also been modded to make it more appealing to set up a base there, for example there are public wells located around the Town, additionally placed turrets, the Y-house has been repositioned so it isn’t full of terrain features or trees, and a couple of steel refineries have been installed. The Slave Platform has been replaced with a lore friendly ruined Slave Market, which makes the mod more flexible and allows for another building slot for purchase later.

Notes/Spoilers:

After each investment, the player will get a small reward, usually tech or research documents in good faith from Garri.

To see the town override to each step you have to travel to another town and back again, as is normal for other overrides in game.

As a final reward the player’s faction will become allied with the Tech Hunters, and after investing in the thieves guild you’ll also be granted membership to the Shinobi Thieves.

As an alternative to all the above, during the initial investment chat about power stations, the player has the opportunity to counter offer Garri and buy Mourn (if you have over 1,000,000 cats in your purse). If you choose this option Mourn will be abandoned by the Tech Hunters and it’ll become all yours!

If you want to kill the Great White Gorillo, do so before investing in the HQ, because this pays for the Tech Hunters to kill it/clean out the rubbish inside and it will disappear when the town overrides.

After the Town has been fully upgraded, the Slave Market is renamed "Free Market" to represent the town shedding its United Cities legacy and the building then becomes purchasable.

Warnings:

This was my first mod, it is a beta version. I have tested it, but like with anything there may be bugs. Just comment, and I’ll try to fix them.

Players are advised to use the mod in a fresh game and not with other mods that alter the Town of Mourn.

It is possible for Garri to die, just like any other NPC in Mourn if you never choose to upgrade it.
