Vampire Counts: The Black Archers

"Black Knights specializing in ranged combat. Their quivers are stocked with tainted arrows, capable of piercing solid steel."

1, Introduction
I attempted to make a single ranged unit that would remain balanced, while also being powerful enough to fill the ranged role in the VC faction so well that you won’t need anything else. These guys are quick, have an impressive range, and pump out some good damage (especially vs. single targets). They cost 2,000 each, with 120 upkeep per turn (not including cost reduction buffs), and their only prerequisite is that you have a Reliquary.

2, Unit Stat/Ability/Spell Overview
These guys are quite strong…think Skaven Warplock Jezzail units, but with mobility. Due to their power, they needed some weaknesses to balance them out. Their biggest weakness is that they disintegrate (rapidly die) if their leadership is "shattered" or drops to nothing. They can take a few hits, but if they can’t escape an attacker, if is likely that they will be overrun. They are very weak in melee. Best to take advantage of the powerful melee units available to you, and ensure these guys are always safe.

Melee Attack: 10
Melee Defense: 50
Weapon Strength: 24
Charge Bonus: 3

Range: 275
Missile Strength: 31 (Armor Piercing + Shield-Breaker)

4, Detailed Abilities/Spells
Fear: Unit reduces the leadership of enemy units susceptible to this effect.
Undead: Unit does not rout, is immune to terror, and become unstable when leadership is low.
Hide in Forest: Unit is not visible to enemies when hiding in a forest.
Crumbling: When leadership drop to 0, these units begin to die.
Disintegrating: When leadership is "Shattered", these units die rapidly.

5, Weaknesses
Weak in melee, will die nearly instantly if the battle turns heavily against you, and damage is reduced against groups of enemies. These units are also exempt from the "Raise Dead" table, which means the only way to get one is to build it.
