Description:
What is Combat Overhaul?

CO is a mod, that overhauls weponry system and TTK. Weapons are now separated by different calibers, penetration and ability of underwater shooting.

TTK rework

CO completely changes the way you play barotrauma in terms of firefights. Now all it takes to kill an enemy is 2-3 clean shots, or even one directly into the head. But, be careful, as any armor will greatly decrease the effectiveness of smaller calibers. Human is also reworked. All resistances are now removed, you are weak and vulnerable, armor effects are reduced. All default weapons are replaced by new ones.

Jamming and underwater shooting

Some of wapons cant shoot underwater!

If your weapon is one of those, keep an eye on it’s condition, as it will go down to zero, if your gun had jammed. Weapons automaticly unjam after 6 seconds in air.

Blueprints


Some recipes can only be acquired through blueprints. Most of the ammunition is crafted with them.
You may found them on wrecks or buy after certain difficulty.

Abandoned outposts

No more free-kill bandits!

Abandoned outposts are much more common now, bandits are now armed with firearms and pose a great threat to anyone, as their aiming ai is improved.

Weapons

This mod has a lot of firepower to offer. Some may be bought at certain difficulty, some may be found, some – crafted.
All stock weapons are removed!

Tactical Lights

All underwater-shooting weapons can be modified with a tactical flashlight attachment.

Husks


They are protected from firearms now, use melee, harpoons and fire to deal with them.

Security uniforms

Now each of them has it’s own resistances. Security’s Outfit will protect you from melee attacks, Gunners Uniform will guard against bites, Commando’s Fatigues help with gunshots.

Important

CO overrides Human.xml, if any other mod is doing it(like Advanced Medicine) they will not work properly together.

CO overrides talents of captain, security and engeneer. This means, that mods, that affect tallent trees wont work properly with CO, and, more likely, will cause bugs and vanishing talents.
The only affliction this mod changes is "vigor", given by stimulators.
All other weaponry mods and EKs work with CO fine.
