More threads – Lag reducer – 4-thread edition
Ever get tired of how much lags NPCs can cause? This mod changes the number of threads starbound uses from 2 to 4. It’s probably worth noting that if your computer has only 2 cores or less, this won’t actually cause a speedup, in which case this mod isn’t for you. Ideally, you should check how many cores/logical processors your computer has; 4 threads is optimal for computers with 8 logical processors/4 physical cores. For those who want it, there’s also 8-, 6- and 3-thread versions (see below).
Compatibility: This mod only changes a setting regarding how Starbound runs a server (for those who don’t know, Starbound runs both singleplayer and multiplayer as servers), so there should be no possibility of mod conflict or issues when uninstalling.
