(dark elves) names of powers dilemmas, interesting distributions skills choices (warad_tww2_namespwr.pack)
ahoy !
=> for any requests/questions: contact me !
[description]
=> this mod is part of my compilation (all together make a small tweaked vanilla experience and keep all vanilla aspect useful !)
=> this is a pretty simple mod changing the dilemmas distributions of the names of powers in a meaningful way: see details AND MOD’S IMAGE
=> this mod allows players to not be frustated by a "bad" dilemma compared to what they expect to get to X or Y general
=> it does allow to "mix" some dilemmas and get some interesting mixes (but NOT op ones ! check details and screen):
– for example you CANT get the 2 skills upgrading heavily shades with the same character (they are both "revered names")
– but you can get the revered "corsairs bonus" and the aristocratic "corsairs bonus" which will make an interesting choice
IMPORTANT NOTE: dilemmas EFFECTS are NOT touched at all !
[details]
—————
1- whats this ?
—————
=> the mod is modifying the 3 names of powers skills:
– the 3 skills STILL are dilemmas ! and STILL need level 10 !
– they have now 3 skill levels, each one giving a name of power to the general
– dilemma given depends on where you spend the skill point (CHECK MOD’S IMAGE TO SEE EVERYTHING)
– there are a total of 6 dilemmas (= 12 titles) per names of powers class, this means the default game has 36 delf titles
=> AIs use them too !
—————
2- global view
—————
=> it DOES AFFECTS any characters with name of power system ! (aka master agents, lords and blark admirals)
=> NAMES OF POWERS EFFECTS ARE NOT TOUCHED, i just re-organized the dilemmas !
=> the full details are in the tab made in the screen (= 2nd screen) of the mod, including:
– dilemmas names (helping to link the dilemma to its default fixed choices)
– dilemmas titles (underlined in orange)
– names of powers effects (default vanilla stats)
– colors do help to show what type of skill it is, or what/how its effect is affecting your game
—————
3- how to use ?
—————
=> the tab in the mod’s screen (= 2nd screen) shows from top to bottom:
– you 1st get your skill by spending in the 1st level (locking the 2 other skills as usual = you choose the column)
– the 1st level will generate one dilemma out of the 2 possibles (first row of the image)
– you get the event and have to choose one of the 2 names of powers
– you can then spend in the 2nd level of the skill (2nd row of the image)
– the 2nd level will generate one dilemma out of the 2 possibles
– you get the event and have to choose one of the 2 names of powers, your general get his 2nd name in traits as you got the 1st
– you can then spend in the 3rd level of the skill (3rd and last row of the image)
– the 3rd level will generate one dilemma out of the 2 possibles
– you get the event and have to choose one of the 2 names of powers, your character get his 3rd (and last) name in traits
– your character has now 3 names of powers
—————
4- problems ?
—————
=> note that the game will only give the (visual) name of the first dilemma automatically to the general (including AI one)
=> the game do NOT show which dilemmas can appear with each skill, you HAVE to check the screen i made ! (all details are on it !)
=> some dilemmas mix still are better compared to other, but CA designed the effects that way
=> my screen detailing everything shows in 3 column (= the 3 skills), there are NO WAY to mix dilemmas from different columns (i tried to mix the most interesting and balanced way !)
[compatibilities]
=> the mod fully replace the table named "character_skill_level_to_dilemmas_junctions_tables" and will be incompatible with mods editing the link between dilemmas and skills
=> Fully playable in SP and MP (if other MP players got same mods of course)
=> All my mods will always be up to dates with any DLC / FLC / patch as fast as possible
[use]
=> You can safely add or delete this mod with ongoing campaigns
[end]
NOTE: "warad" means WARriors of ADrien (me), its a real long story, some know, some dont, some will…
=> check out my collection to see what i think essential, or to check the mods i make:
– i like simple mods (no scripts, no startpos for example)
– i like the original game, just with minor tweaks to allow a richer gameplay in every ways for everyone
– i play only with roleplay in SP and MP (campaigns and battles), and i never get tired of this !
have a nice dilemma !
