Description:

The year is 395 AD, looking at the campaign map you would have thought its the 6-7th century. Sources describe cities like Rome still as great with some of the great public buildings still in good or decent shape as late as the early 6th century. The true decline of the Italian cities came eventually, as the gothic wars of the 6th century laid waste to cities and had populations including the roman nobility displaced. This was a disaster for the populations in big cities like Rome, and in Mediolanum that was completely destroyed. What followed was what we know as the dark ages, diseases and later arab invasions in the east and in north africa. Perhaps then one could justify what we see on the campaign map..

The mod uses assets from Rome 2, HD cities mod for rome 2 by Phazer and from the ERE to make the cities of rome look roman on both campaign and battle map.

as shown on the last photo, it also works on the Last roman campaign, here however it might be possible that i make a standalone with only the campaign map having the upgraded look
