Soviet Red Army（ Красная армия) It was founded by Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, vorontz and others. Its full name is the Soviet workers’ and peasants’ Red Army. It is the general name of the Soviet land-based and aviation armed forces from 1917 to 1945. The Soviet Navy was called the Red Navy of the Soviet Union at that time. After 1946, it merged with the Red Navy and was called the armed forces of the union of Soviet Socialist Republics
