Cat’s Mushroom Armor
After many I present you, Mushroom Armor! Well its not exactly armor but in Kenshi you take what you can get. This armor is more of an infection than armor and it really doubles as a handicap than a helper. A parasitic plant that growns on its host.
So per the usual I modeled, textured, and weight painted several new assets for kenshi.
I tried making all the models lore friendly, while sticking to kenshis parameters to not cause lag. I am also using 2K textures for all pieces.
Warning
all item pieces act as slave gear in functionality. They can not simply be removed once equipped and depending on the item may be very hard to get off. This is to simulate a parasite like infection, its no as easy as cutting chains, their growths on the body.
To obtain these items either craft them under the new research tab called "Mushroom Armor" and crafted in clothing stations
This mod was made with the swamp environment in mind. The swamp is known for being dangerous and full of diseases and now it can be. These mushrooms act as a parasite within the swamp. People who stay in the swamp for extended periods can contract the parasite and once that happens its hard to remove. The shrooms will grow on the host draining their nutrients until it takes complete control. The only way to remove them is through cutting or using a lock pick as a scalpel and remove the infection.
Q. What ref did you use?
A. I used a mix of real life visuals, concept art like above, other games like elden ring, and some of my imagination.
Q.Why isnt anyone else wearing these?
A. Not everyone likes mods that add leveled list items for compatibility reasons with their massive load orders. This should be avoid that. However I do plan on doing a total overhaul of clothes and plan to implement them when its ready
