Susie

Say hello to Susie, reporting to work from Kirby: Planet Robobot! Using Science as her weapon of choice, get down to business and either rush down your foes with a flurry of high speed and ranged attacks, or tank them down with the help of her trusty mech: the Business Suit!
Susie takes with her plenty of attacks that take from both her boss fights and playable appearances throughout the Kirby series!
For her neutral special, she wields a gun.

But not just any gun! It’s the Haltmann Works Company issued self-defense weapon, or otherwise known as the HWC Blaster! This attack will make Susie quickly shoot out a non flinching energy bolt that will deal miniscule damage, which might not be much, but when used repeatedly in the right situations, it can be handy for raking up damage!

Susie’s FSpecial and USpecial are quite similar in function, but have their differences! FSpecial, transporter burst, launches Susie forth and can be angled slightly up or down depending on the joystick input. Furthermore, hitting an opponent will allow her to cancel with a jump or a normal attack, but it’s recommended you hold back on the joystick for this since the momentum can carry her too far. Her USpecial, Transporter Lauch, will launch her high into the air, but will send her into free fall afterwards.

Both of these moves can be used as good recovery tools, combo finishers, and more if they’re used to their full potential. Also, both moves can be charged and even share a charge, so if you need to go higher but already have a charge from FSpecial, that charge will carry over into USpecial, and it works the same the other way around!
Susie’s central gimmick is that she can switch between two different stances: One where she fights on her own, and one where she utilizes her powerful business suit!

While suited up, Susie has no proper defense and less attacks than she does normally, whereas she bears 4 normal attacks and 3 special attacks that she can use anytime and anywhere. In turn, however, these attacks are bigger and stronger than any of her attacks without the suit.

While normal attacks may be used with no major price to pay, the three specials will deplete the suit’s battery with each use, whereas running out will automatically make Susie stow the suit away so it can recharge. The suit’s battery will also deplete upon taking damage, but be careful not to let that be the reason it runs out. If the battery runs out due to damage, the suit will self-destruct and deal massive knockback to both Susie and anyone else besides whoever last hit her. Damaging other opponents in her normal state will help recharge the battery, and if the battery ever runs out, she won’t be able to use the suit again until it’s fully charged or until she parries an attack.

Susie can suit up into her business suit using DSpecial, and she can stow it away by using the attack again. She may also leave the suit on the stage in standby mode, which can serve a good few purposes. With the suit in standby, she may stow it away from afar by using DSpecial, suit up from afar using DSpecial while holding shield, hop back into the suit by jumping into the cockpit, or destroy it by either attacking it enough or holding special during DSpecial, making a massive explosion!

Susie’s Suit begins to spin its arms around like a deadly tornado and whack anyone too close! While it does so, Susie may move from side to side or jump if she’s grounded, and while she’s in the air, her descent will be slower unless down is held on the joystick.
She may stop the move at any time if you press shield, and the move will automatically finish after a set amount of time or until the power runs out.

The suit will launch the two drill bits on its back out in front of Susie, whereas they’ll travel at a slightly downward angle and explode upon touching either an opponent or a solid object. To launch the bits at a more downward angle, hold down during the move’s startup!

Susie’s business suit rises up high before rushing back down to slam upon anyone unlucky enough to be in the way!

The startup can be canceled with a wall jump, and you can make Susie go through platforms during the fall by holding down on the joystick.
– Holding down and pressing the shield button in practice mode will fully replenish the suit’s power if it’s not in standby mode. Use this for easier training!
– The Business Suit makes Susie less susceptible to damage and knockback while her attacks in it have more kill potential than most of her attacks without it. Use these feats to your advantage!
– Susie’s down tilt and dash attack are her best options for starting combos. Chain them with other attacks that are quick to come out!
– Transporter Launch can work as both a combo starter and finisher depending on how you use it. USpecial might not work well as the former, but could you use it as a finisher? Sure you can!
