BVG Class IK 15/17/18/20
Stadler IK Type metro for the U-Bahn Berlin developed on the Tango platform since 2012. Since Berlin has two different loading gauges, different vehicles were needed for the network. The IK type was originally developed for the narrow profile (Kleinprofil) to replace 1970s stock (Type A3L 71), it has since then been adapted for use on the wide-profile (Großprofil) lines with the addition of gap-bridging steps and bodywork to replace the Type F79 there. The Classes IK15 and IK18 are suitable for the narrow lines, the Classes IK17 and IK20 for the wide lines.
Each 4-car unit comes with a capacity of 338 PAX, two units can be coupled. Furthermore, the mod allows for flexible length options, ranging from 3 to 6 cars per unit (249-516 PAX).
The train is freely recolour-able, for the authentic BVG look you need to paste the HEX code of RAL 1023 traffic yellow (F0CA00) into the colour selection of the game.
