Fiend Folio – Tamer Cacophobia
Enjoy the Fiend Folio MOD, but not a fan of how spooooooooky the new Cacophobia boss is? Not to worry! Devs have already stated they plan to add an option that will tone down the scariness factor some time in the future. But until that time comes, you can make the fight significantly less terrifying with this easy to install optional mod!
The Tamer Cacophobia mod makes the following changes to the titular fight:
* The room has been brightened up to resemble the actual Scarred Womb instead of the darker, more Utero-like shade the fight utilizes.
* To coincide with the above bullet point, Venus’s eyeballs are more skin-shaded to look more natural with the new floor color.
* Many of the gorier sprites Venus takes on during the fight have been removed.
* The "music" that plays during the fight has been replaced with snippets of Fiendish Foe.
!!! NOTE THAT THIS MOD DOES NOTHING IF YOU DO NOT HAVE FIEND FOLIO INSTALLED! As this is meant to be a mod that goes over a Fiend Folio boss, you really have no reason to be installing this if you are not also running the MOD itself.
!!!! Also also, I mean no ill will towards the devs with this mod. Hopefully that should be obvious, but just in case I want to reiterate that I am not doing this out of any malice towards the team or for any hatred towards the boss itself (I actually love it a whole lot!) This is just an alternative for people who find it as it is right now too scary and don’t want to wait for the next patch.
