BASIL
[this mod is spoiler-free! slightly less so than the omori mod, but still spoiler-free!]

BASIL from the RPGMaker game OMORI joins Rivals of Aether using his camera and a wide variety of gardening tools and plants!
-Specials-
Down Special –
BASIL takes out his watering can and starts to water the ground. You can hold this move and walk while doing so, occasionally creating patches of grass on the stage. If you use this move while in the air, all grass on the stage that belongs to you will have a vine quickly pop out for a launching hit!
The grass buffs the knockback and damage of his strongs if they’re used while standing on it, and has a variety of effects on his other specials!
Neutral Special –
BASIL tosses a flower crown forwards. If it hits a player, it’ll go onto their head and do quick damage over time. If you use this move while touching the grass, it’ll do extra damage at the start and (very briefly) stun on hit!
Forward Special –
BASIL takes out a leaf blower and positions it behind him. After releasing the charge, he gets launched forwards and can bounce off of players on hit! The move also has a strong backwards hitbox when it’s first used. This move can be charged for extra distance, and pressing shield while charging will allow you to store said charge for future use. If you touch grass during the initial startup, the charge time will be heavily decreased!
Up Special –
BASIL teleports in the direction being held. This move has a strong hitbox at the end, and can be cancelled early if it touches the ground. If you cancel it while on the grass, it’ll have even less endlag!
This mod has support for the following character interactions:
-Kirby (TCG) ability
-Steve (Muno) death message
– Po & Gumbo dish
– Mt. Dedede Arena title
