Toggle UI Banners
Adds hotkeys to toggle UI elements individually, such as banners and icons. This allows you to easily find the info you’re looking for without hunting behind UI clutter. For example, toggle off the City Banners then go into Empire Lens to easily see all your district icons and adjacency across your realm, or to instantly pick out the army situation on your continent.
Functionality also exists to toggle on/off Unit Icons, as well as adding a hotkey to toggle the Launch Bar at the top left of the screen. Each of these three components can be independently toggled and do not interact with each other.
Toggle Unit Banners = u, Toggle City Banners = i, Toggle Launch Bar = x.
These hotkeys are (currently) not customizable so be careful if you’re running other mods that use these keys (or have rebound them to default game keys) as they may not fire when pressed. If you’re having issues go into game settings -> bindings and make sure u, i, and x are not currently bound to something else.
This mod’s functionality is added via brute-force of the game’s existing InGame.lua, and uses the Gathering Storm version as a base. Any UI mods that alter this same file will cause issues if they force overwrite it as well. This mod does not attach itself to savegames so you may test it without fear of corruption, and it can be removed at any time.
Also note this mod only works with the Gathering Storm ruleset at game setup. Making it work with the other modes is easy enough if you want to tinker with the files yourself. I’ll update it for all versions if enough people request it.
