Pine ( 松 matsu), Cherry Blossoms (さくら Sakura), Autumn Leaves ( 紅葉 Momiji) are famous types of bonsai.
The Bonsai will add a small amount of beauty to the room it is placed in.
Vanilla tree and moss can also be cultivated.
