STARTUP PROCEDURE
- BATT 1 BUS and/or BATT 2 BUS on. It is recommended to use both.
- RADAR BUS on
- VHF RADIO MASTER on
- GEN on
- GPS MASTER on
- AVIONICS BUS on
- LIGHTS: POSITION, RED STROBE, and WHITE STROBE on
- ENG MASTER on
- ENG IDLE/FLIGHT on
- ROTOR BRAKE off
- Wait for ENG RPS to stabilize just below 5 RPS
- Release parking brake (under the captain’s seat)
IMPORTANT: While in cruise mode 2, DO NOT pitch down (press w) in flight. In cruise mode 2, it’s best to let go of the pitch control completely! Don’t worry, the helicopter will stabilize itself. You can, of course, always pitch down slightly to roll and steer. Be careful when flying with cruise mode on! Deceleration might take longer than expected.
