Take your Time – Civic x5
This mod multiplies the cost of civics by five. This lets you advance through the civic tree much slower so you can fully experience every era. Online or Quick game speed is recommended.
You should also download a type of ‘Take your Time – Technology’ to slow down the tech tree. This mod series has modularity in mind, so these are seperate workshop items in case you want one tree a little faster than the other.

The ‘Take your Time’ series of mods was made for people who like playing through the eras much slower but like the current speed of the rest of the game mechanics. This means that more buildings can be produced in each city, and can also allow for more meaningful, larger scale wars.
This mod is set to not affect save games, which means you should be able to hotplug this mod in and out of any saved game and still be able to play it afterwards (any eurekas or inspirations will not have their value change, however). Remember, as with any mod, to backup any saved games you wouldn’t want to lose.

Because the Take your Time mods are simple SQL changes, you can enable multiple mods of the same tree to advance even slower through the eras. For example, enabling Technology x4 and x5 will make reasearch go 20 times slower! This is really unfun and impractical, but the option is there.
