Intro

I’ve reworked the movement logic and skills of most of the monsters, which means you’ll see new mechanics and more treacherous enemies than ever before in a mod. Obviously, the difficulty of the game will increase dramatically, and this mod is mainly for players who use a lot of mod heroes, or warriors who challenge themselves.
The mod has a stepwise increase in difficulty, with no significant increase in the Apprentice dungeons to avoid the player suffering too much early on, but the elite dungeons and the Champion dungeons will see a rapid increase in difficulty.
On the difficulty issue, I promise you one thing, I will keep it to a level where you can beat the darkest dungeon in the original environment. That said, I can win in the original, in fact I’m currently challenging my own mod, adjusting the difficulty in real time as I go along.
But hopefully you are aware that the original game is very difficult even without any mod…

Detail

Due to the amount of content, I prepared a text document in the mod with the details (Chinese only). Here are some general ideas:
Every region has a "regional character," and the monsters in that region are designed around that character

Crypts

Feature: Revenge of the dead
The undead crave revenge on all the living.Skeleton enemies force an additional attack upon being killed, but if stunned, this attack will hardly hit and DO no damage.

Necromancer
The Necromancer will raise an endless army of the dead
The original skill was more threatening
A nervous breakdown in front of a necromancer would mean complete death

Prophet
The bench fragments in the ruins are a natural shelter, and the Prophet will take advantage of that
The end will draw near with the passage of time

weald

Feature: Fungal parasitism
An aggressive fungus corrupts everything in this wilderness. Some monster attacks will infect your hero with fungus. The parasitic fungus will deal damage with each attack and block the healing effect, causing a huge amount of damage and corrosion when it finally breaks.

The virago hateful and the crone of the woods
They will torment enemies with a variety of new jinxes

Added new enemy: Alpha Wolf
The alpha wolf leads the pack in the wilderness
It will direct other monsters into formation, launch attacks, and will constantly call for its companions to join the battle
The alpha wolf itself is a sensitive and dangerous enemy.

The boss of the weald is not yet complete, so stay tuned.

Warrens

Feature: Legion
Smarter and more cunning than ever, the pigmen are now building a huge army. Some of them will act as a "commander" in command of others, and the commander will use his command skill once a turn to assist others or hunt down remaining enemies. The PIGmen WILL BE EXTREMELY POWERFUL in the presence of their commander, but when they lose their commander, the remaining PIGmen will be leaderless and will flee.

Added new enemy: Pigman Scouts
It will find your team’s weak points in battle
It will be withdrawn from the battlefield after some time
If you let it escape, your whereabouts will be watched by pigmen at all times

Pigman cutters and Pigman knights

These two will be the leaders of the Pigmen, each with different command skills. The former are more intelligent and use a variety of auxiliary skills to boost their peers. The latter were harsher, using punishment and intimidation to drive away their fighters.
When these TWO ARE KILLED and THERE IS NO "COMMANDER" IN PLAY, THE REMAINING PIGMEN will be able to escape.

The boss of the warrens is not yet complete, so stay tuned.

Cove

Feature: Dream of the Abyss
The terrors of the deep will invade the hero’s mind. All heroes FIGHTING IN the Gulf will be able to acquire a special disease called "Dream of the Abyss", which has four stages: Hibernation, Silencing, Awakening, and clarity. The disease will gradually progress and cycle between hibernation, silencing and awakening, with the hero suffering more and more negative effects and the possibility of special phantom battles. However, if you can overcome the illusion, you can not only turn the abyss dream into a positive effect, but also have the chance to gain two powerful trinkets. (Note that phantom battles are special mechanic battles, related to the hero’s story in the official comics)

Secondary feature: A horror
Each surviving "Deep Ones" increases the amount of pressure damage the hero takes, and this effect stacks up.
Deep diving tide hunter, deep diving Shaman and octotank
These three monsters are defined as deep divers
Tide hunters who dive deep can make their enemies bleed
Deep diving shamans can manipulate the tide to disrupt enemy formations
Octotank will be an extremely tricky existence
They will share a special skill in addition to the new skill: Abyss Gaze
This ABILITY INFLICts the STARE EFFECT on the target. In addition to taking pressure damage, attacks in this state may also be granted the Dream of the Abyss. Using Friendly abilities or stopping actions can prevent this from worsening.

The boss of the Cove is not yet complete, so stay tuned.

Trinket

As a way to lower the difficulty and give the player motivation to challenge, I plan to add 2 hunting trinkets per regional boss, 4 to 6 hunting trinkets per regional normal monster, all of which will be earned after you defeat them, and possibly some additional trinkets.
At present, there are a total of 18 trinkets, not all completed, please look forward to.

Supply

Added a special supplement: Hope Amulet.
This supply will restore 5% of the maximum HP of all heroes, heal bleeding and corrosion, and reduce pressure damage by 100% in 3 rounds。This supply exists as my mercy, and when used at the right time it will change the tide of battle. If you want to challenge this mod, please use this supply.
More supply are planned, so stay tuned.

Compatibility

Not compatible with the mod that modifies the replica completion bonus due to the addition of hunting trinkets for bosses
Not compatible with all mods that modify monster info and monster composition(For example,Cho’s Boss Reworks)
However, it works fine with mods that add new monsters, monster skin mods, and any other mods that don’t involve modifying original monsters(For example,Here be monsters,Vermintide)

localization

Currently, Chinese and English are supported.
English is not my first language, plus my English is very poor, so the translation may not be satisfactory.
If anyone can provide a better translation in English or would like to provide translations in other languages, I would be very grateful.

Update plan

Currently most of the mods are finished, but the boss and trinket sections are not yet finished, and there are plans for courtyards, farms and dark dungeons in the future, which I will continue to work on until they are all finished. In the meantime I welcome suggestions and ideas from anyone that are sound or interesting, which will help me improve this mod.
